This week, Justin Smulison is joined by 2022 Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award winner, Lance Ewing!
Lance is one of the most visible and vocal risk management advocates. He is the previous RIMS President from 2003 to 2004, was Risk Manager of the Year in 2007, and was the Risk Innovator of the Year in 2008. Currently, he is the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management and Operations for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians; a federally recognized tribe of Serrano people in San Bernardino County, California.
In this conversation, Lance Ewing shares about his illustrious career in risk management; the qualities he seeks when building and hiring his risk department; how he feels receiving the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, and all about his current team and work at the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
