Welcome to RIMScast. Your host is Justin Smulison, Business Content Manager at RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Today’s episode is featuring Sridhar Manyem, the Director of Industry Research and Analytics for AM Best — the only global credit rating agency with a unique focus on the insurance industry. Sridhar is the Head of the Industry Research Team where his responsibilities include publishing AM Best’s perspectives of topical issues relating to the insurance industry, possible implications to AM Best’s credit ratings, and analytics for P/C, Life/Health, and reinsurance sectors. Prior to joining AM Best in 2017, he was at The World Bank as a Senior Credit Officer, responsible for implementing reinsurance credit risk framework at MIGA (Multilateral Investment Guarantee Association).
Justin and Sridhar will be discussing the ratings changes at AM Best and some of the recent reports they’ve published that will surely benefit listeners in the industry! They also discuss topics that will affect all RIMS members — including coverage of the TRIA reauthorization; special reports on cannabis, cyber, and D&O; and how the ratings changes will impact the traditional risk management industry.
