RIMScast

Jul 16, 2019

Welcome to RIMScast. Your host is Justin Smulison, Business Content Manager at RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society.

Today’s episode is all about the Spencer Educational Foundation, the philanthropic arm of RIMS! It was founded in 1979 and to this day remains the premier organization funding the education of tomorrow’s risk management and insurance leaders. And on September 19th, 2019, RIMS will be celebrating the 40th anniversary with a fantastic gala in New York City!

In this week’s episode, Justin will be speaking with his two incredible guests, Marya Propis and Jeanna Madlener. The first guest, Marya, is the Sr. Vice President for All Risks, Ltd. and the Chairperson for Spencer Educational Foundation. The second featured guest, Jeanna, is the Vice President at Woodruff-Sawyer. She is also a Spencer grant recipient and an active RIMS member, which makes her the perfect candidate to share her perspective on how the Spencer Educational Foundation influenced the trajectory of her career!

Marya and Jeanna will be discussing why the foundation is so important, how it has influenced their own lives and careers, how you can also help aid Spencer’s mission, and what to look forward to at Spencer’s 40th Anniversary Gala.
