RIMScast

May 31, 2022

Welcome to RIMScast. Your host is Justin Smulison, Business Content Manager at RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society.

Today, Justin is joined by 2022 Heart of RIMS Award Winner and New York RIMS Chapter President, Lori Seidenberg!

The 2021 Ron Judd “Heart of RIMS” Award pays tribute to the legacy of Ron Judd who served as the RIMS Executive Director for 22 years. “I started out volunteering because I wanted to be connected to other people and meet people and network. And it kind of blossomed into this whole thing. It’s really exciting.” — Lori Seidenberg

“You just don’t know the impact you have on people and what it means to them to see what you’re doing. … It’s very heartwarming [when] people come up to me and tell me that they’ve been following my career or I’ve inspired them to do certain things.” — Lori Seidenberg

“Networking is exhausting, don’t get me wrong. But you never know when you’re going to meet your next employer; you never know when you going to meet your next resource. … Relationships really matter. New York City is a lot smaller than people think.” — Lori Seidenberg
