RIMScast

Apr 12, 2021

Welcome to RIMScast. Your host is Justin Smulison, Business Content Manager at RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every profession and how many do their jobs. This is why it is critical for employers to use this time to open a dialogue about mental health with their employees, who have undoubtedly experienced change. And with May being Mental Health Awareness Month there is no time like the present to begin these dialogues.

Today Justin is joined by Darcy Gruttadaro, the Director of the Center for Workplace Mental Health, to discuss mental health and the workplace. As the Director, Darcy is developing and implementing the Center's strategic direction in providing employers high-impact tools and resources to support the mental health of employees and their families.

Darcy discusses some tips for employers to foster discussions around mental health and offers some useful frameworks developed by the center. She speaks about how remote working has impacted the workforce, how to address return-to-work anxiety, and offers additional resources that you can leverage as an employer or employee.

This episode is filled with fantastic insight on a very critical topic — don’t miss out!
