This week on RIMScast, Justin is discussing Distracting Driving Awareness Month with Lisa Robinson, the Senior Program Manager of Road Strategy for the National Safety Council.

In 2020, the Annual National Distracted Driving Awareness Month was rescheduled from April to October. This year marks its 10th anniversary of spreading awareness about distracted driving and helping to make our roadways and people safer.

In this episode, Lisa Robinson discusses why distracted driving continues to be on the risk radar for several employers and debunks some of the myths associated with distracted driving. She also provides a lot of great tips and announces a related contest that listeners can participate in!

In addition, the National Safety Council and TRUCE Software have released a survey in conjunction with Distracted Driving Awareness Month that indicates 76% of respondents are “very willing” to wear a mask in public – but just 62% are “very willing” to obey a state law preventing cell phone use.
