Joining Justin Smulison today are Ward Ching and Dr. Paul Walker. Ward Ching is a Managing Director at Aon, an Adjunct Professor at the USC Marshall School of Business, the RIMS-CRMP Chairman, and the recipient of the 2018 Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award. Dr. Paul Walker is the James J. Schiro/Zurich Chair in Enterprise Risk Management at St. John’s University and a member of the RIMS Strategic and Enterprise Risk Management Council.
Together, they jointly authored the new RIMS executive report, “Rethinking the Impact of Disruption on Enterprise Risk Management Tools and Processes.” They will also be presenting at the upcoming 2021 RIMS ERM Conference.
In this episode, Ward Ching and Dr. Paul Walker will be discussing their new executive report, the specific drivers of disruption that are unique to 2021, the role that an ERM practitioner should play in managing corporate disruption, and how the disruptive events of the last 18 months have changed the way that they think about conceptualizing risk reports.
